Replace the air filter is by far one of the simple maintenance procedures you can do in your vehicle in minutes. It's simple, but may increase the efficiency of your engine and save a lot of money in the long term. A dirty filter can inhibit performance by allowing only a limited amount of air into the engine. It is not uncommon vehicles into trouble when they start due to an air filter. The rodents love to nest in boxes that filter and block the airway of the engine. Result is similar someone choking. The internal combustion engine, similar to the human body needs oxygen to function. When replacing the filter, you can expect a slight increase in consumption fuel and engines. To replace the filter, follow these steps:
1. Pull the hood latch from inside the vehicle
2. Open cap and placed on the proposal

4. This box houses the air filter and generally four screws holding together. In rare cases, are the screws on the box together. You can remove these screws with a Phillips head screwdriver. Release the lock or loosen the screws and lift the top of the table.

7. Close the latches or screw bolts in the assembly.
You succeeded to replace your air filter. Check the user manual for the recommended interval for replacement of the filter. However, if you do the manual, try changing the filter once every 15,000 miles. Also vary on where you live. If you live in an area that has a lot of construction or, in general, very dirty, you may need to replace the filter more often.
